About Aria

There was only one thing I knew that I wanted to be 'when I grew up,' and that was a mom.
The only other thing I knew for sure was that I wanted to help people. I began college in the
field of education to become a teacher. I quickly realized I needed to find something I was
passionate about to be effective and fulfilled. When I learned what a dietitian was, it clicked.
Like many, food was often connected to my family memories and special moments. It was
also deeply connected to my relationship with my body, both positively and negatively, as a
competitive dancer. Watching my family members navigate colon cancer, breast cancer,
diabetes, heart disease, and digestive issues, I also gained a new appreciation for the
connection between food, our definition of health, and our
quality of life.

In the stories I have heard about pivotal teachers, what stands out is the way they could
support individuals in clearly defining their goals and unlocking their strengths to achieve
them. My professional goal today remains the same as it was when I became a registered
dietitian: to be one of those teachers in a subject that can seem so confusing yet critical to the
way we feel and move through each day:
the food we eat.

During my eleven years of practice, I have been privileged to support individuals navigating
new, life-changing diagnoses, investigate complex relationships with food and their bodies,
explore ways food can enhance everyday energy and symptom management, and learn how
to support themselves or their families with nourishing meals. My observations of my clients,
family, and friends navigating different health challenges, as well as my journey into
becoming a young breast cancer survivor and mother, have given me a deep appreciation for
the complexity of balancing numerous needs, challenges, and goals at once. I bring that
awareness to every client session to ensure that you are heard and that we find the
intersection of your competing needs to achieve your authentic wellness.

My A1C score was high and I was on
the verge of having full blown
diabetes. Aria first educated me on
what was going on with my body and
then provided simple solutions to
tweak my diet and exercise to
combat diabetes. My A1C score
dropped dramatically and I lost 10 lbs.
I give all praise to Aria whom I believe
saved my life.

I believe she saved my life...

The caring support and
information I received really
helped me better understand
how to take nutrition into my
own hands. Aria was more than
just a guide...
she has also
become a friend.

More than a guide... a friend

Ms. Aria Maslow has been helping me with
several nutritional issues I've been having
since major colon surgery in March 2020 as
well as a long time diagnosis of irritable
bowel syndrome. You should know what an
incredibly talented and compassionate
health care provider she is. She was quite
patient with me given the complexity of my
diet alterations. She was incredible in
uncovering many different necessary
alterations in my diet to allow me to feel
much, much better than before I started
seeing her.

Incredibly talented and
compassionate...
